Plano East Senior High School is located North of Dallas in Plano , Texas . It serves approximately 2,600 students at the junior and senior grade level. Honors awarded to this school include the U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Best High School in Texas designation by Redbook magazine, Texas Education Agency Blue Ribbon School, and State and National Academic Decathlon Championships. One of three high schools in Plano ISD, this campus offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Honors Level Academy , Advanced Placement, and Television and Radio Communications major studies, in addition to the normal high school curriculum.
